Air Fried Cheeseburger Egg Rolls
Air Fried Cheeseburger Egg Rolls. Crispy, cheesy, and so delicious. These egg rolls are the perfect appetizer or snack to make for when you have a group of friends over to hang out or watch the game. They’re really quite simple to make and aren’t fried in oil like your typical egg roll. This recipe is going to be a crowd pleaser, trust me.
Filled with grass-fed beef, yellow onion, shredded sharp cheddar, and creamy ‘special’ sauce, these egg rolls are absolutely scrumptious. It really is like a mini cheeseburger all wrapped up.
The inspiration…
So, I definitely didn’t come up with this idea on my own. Disney World actually has an egg roll cart that sells cheeseburger egg rolls. My boyfriend is a big fan of Disney and has wanted to try them...so I decided to make my own version for us to try! While I haven’t tried the original ones myself, I’ll tell you what, I would hedge a bet that these bad boys hold up to the actual Disney version.
The egg roll wrappers crisp up to perfection in the air fryer. You would never be able to tell that they weren’t fried in oil. You could really fill them with any sauce you want--ketchup, mustard, mac sauce, a combo of all of them. Let your sauce creativity run wild. I opted for Sir Kensington’s Special Sauce, and personally, I think it is the move. It’s a creamy and zesty sauce that pairs so well with the cheddar and beef.
I would definitely recommend serving these up with some ketchup or extra sauce for dipping (because can you ever have too much sauce?). If you’re looking for an easy and fun appetizer to have out during a get together, this is definitely the recipe for you.

Air Fried Cheeseburger Egg Rolls
Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 10minutes
Total time: 30 minutes
Serves: 16 egg rolls
Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
1 lb grass-fed, lean ground beef
½ yellow onion, chopped
Salt and pepper
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 egg
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil shimmers, add the ground beef and chopped onion to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, around 7-10 minutes. Once cooked, remove from heat, drain excess liquid, and set aside. Let cool slightly.
Meanwhile, grate the cheese. Additionally, crack the egg into a bowl and scramble it.
To assemble the egg rolls: turn the wrapper diagonally so two points are facing horizontally, one is pointing towards you and one away. Place around 2 tbsp of ground beef and onion mixture horizontally. Top with cheese and 1-2 tsp of sauce. Brush the edges of the top point with egg. Fold the bottom point up and over the filling, snuggling tucking it in. Fold the two horizontal points in towards the center and the roll up towards the top. The egg wash should seal it closed when rolled up. Repeat until all the filling is used.
Place the egg rolls in the basket of an air fryer, spaced out so they do not touch. You may have to do more than one batch. Air fry at 400°F for 10 minutes.
Remove from the air fryer immediately and serve with dipping sauce.
