Honey Ginger Glazed Salmon (Paleo)
A little lunch or dinner inspiration for this week with this Honey Ginger Glazed Salmon! Pan seared salmon with this super easy glaze is certainly what I’ll be having for my lunches this week. Sweetened from the honey, with a little bite from the fresh ginger, this glaze is SO good.
Salmon is one of my favorite go-to’s for quick and simple meals, because it is so versatile and incredibly healthy for you. I mean, it’s packed with omega-3 fatty acids, high in protein, high in B-vitamins, and can help reduce inflammation. And it’s delicious. Need I say more?
The glaze is made using only 5 wholesome and healthy ingredients: lemon juice, a shallot, ginger, honey, and garlic. Ginger is also known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, as well as its ability to help with digestion. Plus it’s so flavorful and spicy! With a little zestiness from the lemon juice, and a little sweetness from the honey, the flavor profile of this glaze is spot on. I’m telling you, it’s amazing.
Not only is it healthy and easy to make, but it’s super quick too. Pan seared for 10 minutes total, plus just a couple minutes for the glaze, this recipe is perfect for a busy weeknight dinner or a quick lunch when you’re working from home. Be sure to save the leftovers as some meal prep for the week too.

Honey Ginger Glazed Salmon
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Total time: 25 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients
1lb of salmon fillets
Salt and Pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp avocado oil
1 shallot, minced
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tbsp ghee
Instructions
Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel, and then season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Heat the avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once ready, place the fillets face down on the skillet and cook for 5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 5 minutes with the skin side down or until the internal temperature of the salmon reaches 145℉.
In the meantime, add the shallot, lemon juice, ginger, honey, and garlic to a bowl. Whisk together until well combined.
Once the salmon has finished cooking, remove from skillet. Lower the heat to medium and add the ghee and glaze mixture to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the glaze begins to thicken and shallots are translucent. Add the salmon back in to the pan, skin side up first. Cook for an additional minute and then flip and cook for another minute, spooning the glaze on top as it cooks.
Serve with a side of veggies and enjoy!
